I know this post is a couple of weeks late, but i figure better late the never. HA!! We had a great weekend and I had a great mother's day.

We started the morning with breakfast at Granna and P-paws and ended the day with dinner at Ju-Ju's house.

I hope my mom knows how much she is appreciated. I still depend on her so much!!!

Easter Fun

We had several; Easter activities over the past week. Addie had a Easter egg hunt at church, at school, at Granna's house, and at Big Nana.s house. So we have lots of eggs and lots of candy. So much for my diet!!! HA!!!

At church their where only 5 kids in her age group so they had lots of fun. Addie and Hannah wore matching outfits that day and looked so cute!!

The Easter Bunny came to our house Friday morning, because our weekends are just to hectic with me working.

Addie was thrilled and had candy for breakfast!!!

Hannah was also excited, she got some new snacks in her basket!!

Friday afternoon my mom had a get-together at here house for our Easter tradition that we started last year. The Easter Bunny made a visit and some of the kids weren't to excited about that. We had asked Addie several times if she would have her picture made with him and she was pretty set on nope, so when he showed up she was happy to keep her distance. We roasted hot dogs, hunted eggs, colored eggs and the kids played. It was lots of fun and I looked forward to anytime we get to get the kids together.

Sunday we went to Easter service at my grandmother's(Big Nana) church. We had an early service and then ate breakfast. We spent the day at Nana,s had lunch and another egg hunt. I had my camera with me but for some reason didn't get any pictures.

We had a wonderful weekend with lots of fun, but we still remember the real reason for Easter. We tried to teach Addie a little bit and to let her know that's its not all about the bunny and eggs, but about Jesus and what he did for us.

Blog Catch Up

We've had a crazy busy couple of weeks from stomach bugs, Addie starting gymnastics, Hannah getting her ears pierced, and lots of Easter fun. I have lots to blog about and hopefully I will get it all caught up soon.

Addie started gymnastics at the first of the month and is still adjusting to the class. I'm not sure if this is something we are going to continue with or wait another year. She has 1 more class this week and if she doesn't do better, I think I'm going to pull her out. She really likes it and talks about it all the time, but when where there she spends the first 20mins of the class not participating.

We also bought the girls a swing set back in March and Mark with some help from a friend was able to get it put together finally. Addie loves it!!!

I'm working on my Easter post and hope to have it up later this week. I also have some fun videos to share!!!

Hannah 6 Months

I'm pretty sure I says this every month, but I can't believe how fast Hannah is growing. I want to freeze time!!!!

Her personality is really starting to show and she is such a joy!!!!

She has hit several milestones this month, and we have had a few first.

She loves the jumper, walker, or sitting in the floor playing.

I'm really hoping she continues to have these bright blue eyes that I have no idea where she gets from.

We had her 6month check-up this past week: she weighed 14lbs (25%) and 27ins (95%). The Dr. said she looked great and was very impressed with her development.

Hannah watches every move Addie makes, and Addie is loving being able to sit in the floor and play with her. I hope these to continue to get closer.

6 month stats:

Wearing 3-9 months clothes. Size 2 diapers. Size 1 shoes.

Still on breastmilk, but only for about another week and will start formula. Eating yogurt and baby food, which you love and would rather have than your bottle.

This past month you started sleeping on your belly at night no matter how many times I turn you over. HA!! And your still sleeping all night about 10hrs.

This past week you started sitting alone.

Hannah Kate your dad and I love you so much are enjoying everyday with you!!

I am so thankful for both of my girls and I count my blessings daily for all that God has given me.

My SIL Amanda took some family pictures for me while her and Nic where in visiting. She did such a good job and since shes family she was very easy to work with and very affordable. HA!!!!

I love how this one turned out. It really looks like we're in front of an old barn, but actually we're just in front of P-paw's shop.

Addie was very busy and the best way to get her to cooperate was to let her run!!!!!

Spring Break Playdate

We hosted our first official playdate yesterday at our house. Candace was here from Birmingham, and Miranda and Rikki also came. The babies are pretty close in age so it was a lot of fun. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but maybe the others did and when they share I can post a few of theirs.

Addie had a hard time sharing her toys, so I spent most of my tending to her. Ha!!!

Hannah Kate 5 Months

Hannah Kate turned 5 months old (unofficially since there wasn't a 29th of Feb.) last week.

She is growing and changing so much. We've had a lot of firsts this past month.

I lover her smile. She still continues to be a really good baby. She is happy and content most of the time except when she is hungry.

We still get various comments about who HK favors. I think she looks like her daddy and her Uncle Nic.

I love these blue eyes. I'm hoping they stay this way.

Hannah Kate what have you been up to this month:

You are weaned from mom (ha!) but still get breast milk from the freezer in a bottle. You take a bottle every 3-4 hrs about 4ozs. You get 1 cereal bottle at night and you drink it in less than a minute.
We started baby food and yogurt last week and you love them both. You will eat almost a whole thing of yogurt for breakfast.
This past month we celebrated your first Valentine's Day and you received your first valentine present from a boy, Noah!! Daddy was not a fan of this exchange Ha!!
You a wearing size 2 diaper and 3-6 month clothes and some 6 months.
I have know idea what you weigh but we have a check-up in a few weeks so we will find out then.
You sleep around 9 hrs at night in your room in your crib.

We are loving every moment with Hannah and Addie. Addie is always telling us how much she loves her sister and I know Hannah loves her too.

Big News

I'm not pregnant, but I know someone who is. My brother Nic and SIL Amanda came home Sunday to announce the big news. They are due in October. I'm so excited that I'm going to be an aunt!!!

They shared in a very neat way. They took a recent ski trip with my parents and brought photos with them for my mom and dad to look at. On one of the pictures it told the big news. I took a picture of their picture with my camera.

Addie asks Mark to play with her all the time, but her favorite is to play with her dollhouse. I think that it is so funny that she wants him to play with this.

The other day I grab the camera so I could steal a few pictures of them playing.

I love to sit and listen to there conversations while they play. Mark is very sarcastic and comical all the time and Addie understands his jokes. Scary!!!

I love to see the relationship they have. Mark is such a good dad.

4 Months Old plus 1 Week

This post is a little of everything. Hannah turned 4 months and had her check-up and Addie had her 2yr check-up last week.

We've had a busy couple of weeks and I haven't had much time to take pictures or get on the computer.

I just love this picture!! Both the girls had dr appts last week. Mark was off work and went with us since they both had to get shots. I don't think I will ever do that again. Addie is terrified to even be in the exam room, of course I can understand since the past few times she's has went to the dr she was very sick (staph and flu). But we survived!!!

Hannah is still such a content, happy, and precious baby. She only cries when she is hungry or sleepy. (or when she wants Addie to go away HA!) In the past month she has really started responding to us.

Happy Birthday Granna

Yesterday was Granna's birthday. We met her and P-paw for lunch at the Mexican restaurant in town. And then we went to their house for supper.

Addie is absolutely crazy about Granna and I'm sure Hannah will be the same way.

Snowed In

We got about 10 ins of snow Sunday night and most of it is still here. Unfortunately we haven't been able to play in it because Addie is recovering from the flu. We have been in the house since last Thursday. She is feeling much better, but still a little ill. Since Mark works 2nd shift, Ppaw came and got us for a few hours last night.

I'm so over the snow and ready to get out of the house!!!!

Hannah Kate 3 Months

Hannah turned 3 months old a couple of days ago and I can't believe it. She is still a very good baby. She hardly ever cries, but today when I was trying to get a good picture she was not having it. I had to go ahead and post them, because no one ever gets to see this side of her. Ha!!

This picture really makes me laugh because, Addie looks scared to death. She hates for Hannah to cry. She usually tries to soothe her by giving her paci or telling her it's otay!!! We have recently noticed that when Addie is singing Hannah will stop crying or whatever and watch Addie, it's so cute. I hope these 2 are very close growing up.

Hannah updates:

Sleeping all night most of the time.
Nursing about every 3 hrs during the day. Usually take a bottle on the weekends while I'm at work 3-4 ounces every 3 hrs.
Wear size 1 diaper and 3 month clothes.
You look so little, but have the chunkiest legs!
You are always in a good mood. You only fuss when your hungry or want to be rocked to sleep.

I started back to work this past month, so on Friday nights you and Addie usually spend the night with Granna and P-paw.. I know that you will love them as much as Addie does. I'm trying to enjoy every minute with you, because you are growing and changing so fast. Your dad and I love you so much!!

I got a new video camera for Christmas and I'm trying to post the cutest video of Hannah. So, as soon as I can figure it out I will put it on here!!

Christmas Weekend Recap 2010

We had a very busy Christmas. I had to work all weekend so that made things a little hectic. Addie is exhausted and it is probably going to take her a few days to recuperate. We went several different places over the weekend and I tried to take a few pictures at each stop.

We started our weekend Friday afternoon at Mark's grandparents. Addie loves playing with their dogs and Savannah.

After that we headed to my grandmother's house. She had gotten a play together telling the Christmas story. Addie liked the puppets and listened better than I thought she would.

Mark set Santa presents up while I was at work. When I got home Saturday morning I got everyone out of bed. At first Addie wasn't sure what to think and then I think she realized that all this stuff in our living room was for her to play with. We also got Hannah a few things even though she didn't have a clue what was going on.

After Santa at our house Mark took the girls to his moms for breakfast. I stayed at home so that I could get a couple of hours of sleep. I'm hoping Granny JuJu took pictures for me. She got the girls a Barbie Jeep and Addie is dying to get to ride it.

For lunch we headed to my parents house. We opened presents and then ate a late lunch. Addie was a little ill by this point and didn't even want to open her gifts. Mark had to drive me to work last night because of the weather/road conditions, so they all spent the night at mom and dads.

We all got a lot of great stuff this weekend. I can't wait to go through all of it again (it is all still piled in my living room) and see everything.

Also while we where at Granna and Ppaw's house this weekend Addie played in the snow a little bit. Petee aka Josh took her riding on the 4-wheeler and Ppaw taught her how to make and throw snowballs. Ha!!

Also here is a picture of some cute Rudolph cupcake that I made one night last week. I love the way they turned out and they where a hit at the family get-together.

Potty Trained

I think I can safely say Addie is potty trained. She still has an occasional accident, but other than that is doing great. She is still sleeping in a diaper at night and will continue to do so for a while. Potty training her has been quite an experience. She would do great for a few days and then would regress for a day. I know she is still young so I try to be patient when she has an accident, but sometimes I think her accidents are to get a little attention. HA!

I'm so glad we went ahead and tackled this. I don't know how much longer I could have afforded diapers for 2!!!

Hannah's 2 Month Check-Up

Hannah went to the Dr. yesterday and he said she looked great. She weighs 10lbs. 13oz. (50th percentile) and is 22.5 ins (75th percentile).

She had to get 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine. She did pretty good.

Mark came with us since I had to work the night before. He didn't want me to drive after being up all night.

P.S. Addie went to MDO yesterday and when I picked her up they told me that she didn't nap, instead she was turning flips on her mat! I was so embarrassed!!!!

I don't know where the past 2 years have went. Addie has changed our lives so much.

We had her a small family party thurs. night. She loved all the attention and gifts.

I got her cake from Baskin Robbins and it was sooo good. I served BBQ with fixings for supper, so I didn't have to do a lot of cooking.

She was really excited about blowing out the candles and everyone singing to her.

Mark helped her open her presents, so I could take pictures. My dad aka P-paw videoed the party for us.

She loved all of her prizes!!

I can't believe it has been 2 months already. Hannah is the best baby. She is so laid back and calm. She hardly ever cries, only when she wants to snuggle or eat.

I started back to work this weekend and I missed her so much, and Addie too!(of course) I think Hannah was pretty good for Mark and Addie gave him a run for his money. HA!!!

Hannah where are you:

You weigh around 10lbs. We go for your 2month check-up next week, so we'll find out for sure then.
Your wear size 1 diapers and are starting to fit really good in o-3 month clothes.
You usually on get up once a night to nurse and nurse every 3 hrs during the day. You will take a bottle but prefer to nurse.
The past couple of weeks you have started smiling when someone talks to you.

Your sister adores you. We can't leave you where she can get to you. She constantly wants to kiss (tiss) you and love (wuv) you. I know this want last forever so we are enjoying now.

SCBC Women's Retreat

This weekend my church had a women's retreat on pray. It was such a blessing to be able to go because this is my last weekend off before I start back to work. We had 32 women there and I believe God blessed everyone that came. We have so much sickness and other things going on inside our church family and to be able to spend time in prayer together was so awesome. The presence of God was definitely there.

All of these women are so much fun. I love that even though there is a variety in age we can all laugh and worship together. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I kept forgetting to take them.

Hannah tagged along this year. I just wasn't quiet ready to be away from, especially since this is my last weekend with her. Big Nana got to go, so we ended with four generations there. Hannah was so good, you hardly even knew she was there.

I grew closer to God and learned so much this weekend. These ladies blessed my heart with some of the things they shared.

P.S. Addie stayed with her Granny Ju-Ju and I'm sure she didn't miss us!! Ha!

Yo Gabba Gabba

Addie absolutely loves Yo Gabba Gabba. We have recorded several shows and we watch them daily. We also watch it in the car and at Granna and Ppaws house. She knows the words to almost every episode. I now it's a little much, but it is the only thing she ever wants to watch. Ha!

About a month ago Granny JuJu bought tickets for us to go see Gabba live. Addie was in Gabba heaven!

She had so much fun singing and dancing.

I think DJ Lance is her favorite.

Host of Christmas Past

Today mom and I took the girls to the Host of Christmas Past in town. They where both so good. Addie had a lot of fun and Hannah didn't mind just hanging out in the stroller or being carried.

Addie loved the reindeer, but hated waiting in line.

And then there was the blow up things. She absolutely loved this slide. They also had a bounce house and she liked it until they let the bigger kids in there with her.

Her face was so funny the first time she went down.

She looks so tired in this picture and she was. We left not long after I took this and she was asleep as soon as we got in the car.

After many months and a lot of changes I'm going to give blogging another shot. Since my last post Hannah Kate has been born and Addie Grace has entered the terrible two's. My life has become very busy, but I'm going to try to get back to blogging so family and friends can keep up with our crazy life. No doubt I have lots to blog about.

Addie has grown and changed so much in the past 6 months. She is a very active, stubborn toddler. We are currenlty trying to potty train her and she is doing pretty good.

Our newest addition Hannah Kate, born 9-29-20 @ 10:00. She weighed 7lbs 3oz and 18.5 ins long. Hannah is such a joy in our lives, she is always so content. She is starting to smile back at us and respond to our voices. She only gets up once a nght and sleeps well during the day also.

She is 6 wks old and I can't believe how fast time has flown by. She is growing so fast and fitting in her 0-3 month clothes much better.

I still can't believe that this is my life.

Addie is so in love with Hannah and drives us crazy trying to love on her. I know this phase won't last long.

I am just trying to enjoy every moment with these two. I know that it won't be long and Hannah will be Addie's age and things will be even more cazy then.

15 Month Check-Up

Last week Addie went to the Dr. for a well baby visit. she weighs 21lbs and is 31ins. He said everything thing looked great and she was right on track, except she needs to loose the PACI!!! She nor I where excited to hear that, but next week we may work on trying to get rid of it.

Addie is developing her own little personality. She plays well by herself and would probably prefer to play by herself. Her favorite toys are her bath toys. She loves lining them up and taking them from one person to the next. She has a pretty good appetite, but it changes from day to day.

We went Tuesday to get a haircut ( I will post pics later). She hated it, but we where glad to get rid of her mullet. She now has a little bob and it's more curly.

I can't believe how much she has grown and changed in the past year. She is at such a fun age so I'm just trying to enjoy every minute that I get to spend with her.

1st Prenatal Visit

Last week I had my first prenatal Dr. visit. They estimated by due date to be Oct. 6. They did an ultrasound and the baby's heart rate was 166/min. Everything looked good!! We are looking forward to finding out what the baby is. Sometimes I think it is a girl because I feel the same way I did with Addie and other times I'm positive it's a boy cause things are different than with Addie.

Addie is continuing to learn new things everyday. Mark and I love to sit and watch her at night, she is so busy. We are ready for spring. She loves to be outside, so hopefully after this cold front moves through we can start spending our afternoons outside. She has no idea that in about 8 months her world is going to change (for the better)!

Busy Week, Busy Addie

I'm finally catching my breath from the past week. We went/had to go somewhere everyday. Valentine's Day was so much fun!!! Addie loved all of her presents! Wed. we went and had lunch with Rikki, Randa, Riley, Layne, and Luke. The babies where all very good. Thursday we went to Huntsville to the hospital to meet Baby Noah (Margaret and Jake's new addition). He is such a precious little boy. I forgot my camera, so I didn't get a pic, but I promise to post one soon.

Sick and Tired

I'm not sure how something so small (the baby) can change so much. I'm so grateful that I'm pregnant, but it's a lot different this time around. Addie keeps me so busy that I don't have a lot of time to dwell on it, like I did with her. That also means I don't get to sleep as much and boy do I need it. I have been very sick this go around, and I also had a stomach virus this past weekend that I was pretty sure was going to kill me. All this being said I'm not complaining just blogging. I feel very blessed!!!

Mark now has the stomach bug, I hope and pray Addie doesn't get it!!! Tomorrow Mark and I are going on our V-day date, I scheduled us for couple massages (can't wait) and then we'll probably go out to eat. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Miss Personality

Mark and I love to sit and watch Addie. She is very busy and sooo funny. She has developed a big personality. She loves to be the center of attention (like her daddy), but she can also have an attitude (like her mommy). HA!

We got her this 4-wheeler for her birthday. She can't push the button to make it go, but she loves climbing on and off of it.

She wears these necklaces 90% of the time, and has just started jabbering on the phone. So adorable!! She is such a priss.

She didn't get to get out in the snow much last week, because I didn't won't her to get sick. She really didn't even pay any attention to it.

Sorry ya'll but I just haven't had a lot of time to blog lately. Addie keeps me busy!!!!

Christmas Catch-Up

Wow!!!!! We have a had a great Christmas!!! I have been a little side tracked this week (more on that later) and I'm just now getting all my pictures loaded. We had a very busy few days starting last Wed. We meant to moms for a little get together with some her friends and the family.

This girl I work with made Addie this outfit. It was cute on her!!!

Christmas Eve we headed to Nana and Papa Barnes' house for Christmas. Since, we visit them weekly Addie is very comfortable at the house.

Papa is one of her favorite play mates. I love to watch her play with him, she finds him very funny.

She is also very fascinated with Jay, she can say his name and follows him wherever he goes!!!

I'm not sure how Granna ended up under the table?

Addie was very tired at this point, but it was still worth a try, or so I thought.

Santa came around 6:30 in the morning since we had to be at Mark's moms at 8. Addie wasn't really sure what to think about everything and it took her a few minutes to even realize the toys where there.

But, it didn't take her long to start checking everything out.

We went to Julie's house for breakfast and gifts next.

Sunday started our Christmas. We had the Christmas play at church then we headed to South Huntsville for Christmas at Mark's Granddaddy's house.

Before church we took a few pics at Granna and P-paw's house. This is the best picture of the day. (everyone was looking at the camera)

During the Christmas play the babies were suppose to sit on the steps, Addie was not having this. Thank goodness we only had to be up there for 10mins.

But, the kids did very good!!!

Teething

Addie is cutting four teeth. At first she didn't have any symptoms other than being fussy, but now she is very irritable, snotty, and has diarrhea. Bless her heart! All four teeth have broke skin so maybe we are on the end of it for now.

It's hard to believe that it has been a year since we where in the hospital waiting for Addie. She was born at 5:22 pm and I am forever changed. I never imagined I could have so much love for another human being.

Today Addie is a healthy, joyful, walking, babbling, playing, loving 1yr old!!

She is the light of her Dads and my eyes, as well as her grandparents, uncles and aunts.

I weaned Addie from the bottle this week, she is doing very well without it.

We are having her party tonight , so I will post lots of pics later.

Addie at 12 months:

Christmas Box

Each year our church sponsors the Samaritan Purse Christmas Box program. It is a wonderful, simple misson project that a family can do together. All you have to do is fill a shoe box with age appropriate items (2-4, 5-9, 10-13), and it is sent somewhere around the world to a child in need.

This year we did a box for a little girl. It just makes me realize how blessed we are, this is probably the only Christmas this little girl will have. Although we don't have clue who will receive our box, my pray is that she will find Jesus and this will brighten her life, if only for 1 day.

Mark and I have been discussing sponsoring a Compassion child. I really think that is something we are going to do for Christmas this year, as a gift to each other. Hope everyone has a good week.

Things to Come

I didn't realize it had been 10 days since my last post till right now. We have had a very ~~busy~~ sickly past week. Last Sunday Addie got a stomach bug and it lasted all week, she also passed it to everyone around her. Mark had his tonsils out last Tuesday, and it has been a long, slow recovery, but is doing much better.

Since Mark is off work all week I'm taking advantage of the extra help and beginning my party planning.

I order Addie several things off etsy and decided to attempt to make the decorations myself. I can't believe my baby will be 1 in 2weeks. We are going to have family pictures Thurs, so I will try to share those Fri!

11 Months and a Visit From Gavin

We have a busy fun fast few days. Gavin spent the night wed nite. We went to the park yesterday, and he and Addie had so much fun. Granna and P-Paw brought lunch and then stayed and played a little bit.

Wed. nite Gavin and I built a tent and slept in the living room.

Gavin said: It is the best tent he has ever seen!!!!!

11 month update:

Addie started walking on Wed. She still isn't really sure about it but is doing great.

Started on whole milk and loves it. We are slowly weaning from the bottle.

Still in size 3 diapers and 9-12 month clothes.

I love this age, Addie is so much fun. I can't believe it has almost been a year. I am busy planning her birthday party and can't wait to see how excited she will be.

P.S. Please be in pray for us, Mark is getting is tonsils taking out on the 10th. I've heard this can be really painful for an adult!!!!!

Trick or Treat

We have really enjoyed the cool weather recently, getting to leave the back door open and letting a breeze blow through the screen. Addie loves standing at the back door. She goes there many times a day, for hours at a time.

Liz Hurley Ribbon Run

Today Mom and I ran our first (of many) 5K marathon. We ran with some other people from church. We have only been training for the past 3wks. Mom did great, she is such and inspiration. I have really enjoyed the time we have spent together over the past few weeks and can't wait to continue this with her. I'm having some leg/knee pain from a possible stress fracture, but as soon as it heals we plan to continue running.

If any of you have ever thought of doing something like this and didn't pursue, I encourage to do so!! It was such a great feeling to cross that finish line!!!!!!

Mark and I help with the Jr. high youth at our church (Y squared). Last night we had our Halloween party. The kids had to come dressed up and we played lots of games. College and Career put on Fear Factor for the ones that wanted to paticipate. They came up with some pretty creative costumes!!!

10+ Months

Addie turned 1o months old few days ago. We have just been really busy this week, and this is the first chance I have to do a post. I didn't even get a pic of her yet, but we are getting ready to go to Florida (12am tonight), so I know that I will have plenty of chances in the next few days.

What is new this past month:

2 new teeth
pulling up like crazy and attempts to stand alone
only takes 3-4 5oz bottles a day
loves table food, will attempt to eat anything we put in her mouth
goes to bed around 8:30 without being rocked
wearing 6-9 months and a few 12 months
into anything she can get her hands on (loved going through baskets, diaper bag, purse)
MMMmmmmmMMMMMMM when she sees a cow or our dog tank (he's so big she thinks he is a cow)
and she lays her head down our shoulder when we ask her to be sweet (this is soo cute)

I can't believe that 2 months from now she will be 1. I have loved the past months and looked forward to the months to come. I love watching her learn new things. Hope ya'll have a good week. There will be lots of new pictures in the days to come!!!!

Training

Mom and I started training for a 5k marathon yesterday. The Liz Hurley Ribbon Run is Oct 17, so we have 3 wks. We ran/walked in 2 min intervals for 30 mins, and will increase daily. It wasn't as hard/bad as we I thought it would be. If anyone wants to donate money for the run, feel free. We are running with a team from church and our goal is to raise $200.

Trip with P-paw

Last Wednesday, Addie and I took a little trip with P-Paw to the Smoky Mountains. P-paw had to go for work and was getting to stay in a new, awesome motel/resort.

Addie was so good in the car to and from. She entertained herself with the mirror and she slept alot of the time.

The place we stayed had 3 waterparks, 1 was indoors. So, Addie and I went Thurs afternoon and P-paw joined us we he finished his classes.

Addie and I bothed enjoyed watching people try to surf.

They had alot of fun playing, even though the water was cold (to be indoor).

9 Month Check-Up

We went for our well baby visit yesterday and Addie is doing great. She weighed 18.1 (35%) and was 25.5ins (45%). She hasn't grown much in the past few months, but the Dr. didn't seem concerned.

She had to get a flu shot, blood work, and an eye test. She did very great.

Addie has very funny facial expressions, and yesterday was no exception. she had her nurse crackin up with some of her faces.

Precious 9 Months

Mark and I have enjoyed the past 9 months so much, Addie has truly changed our lives for the better. We are so blessed and thank God everyday for our healthy, wonderful, bright-eyed baby girl.

Uncle Nic and Aunt Manda

Addie was super excited when I told her that Uncle Nic and Aunt Manda would be here this past weekend.

They had not seen her since the first weekend in July, and she has grown a lot since then.

It didn't take her very long to warm up to them.

Blog Blah and Upcoming

This past week or so has been very BLAH. I'm almost positive Addie is teething, although no proof yet, love her heart. She has been ill for about 2 wks,so this past week I took a break from the computer, and spent that time cuddling with Addie. We took 3mi walks in the morning, ate breakfast, then just played, strolled or whatever Addie wanted to do for most of the day. We visited family and also ran a few errands. Come to think of it, I didn't even do a photo shoot with her this week. My mom told me today that she hadn't received any pics in a while, so don't worry Granna I promise to get on it this week. We will start keeping Elly a few days this week, so her and Addie will defiantly have a photo session together.

We have several busy weeks ahead of us. Addie will be 9 months on Fri., so she has a 9 month check-up. Mark is going to have his tonsils taking out sometime in the near future. And the girls (me, mom, Addie, future Aunt Jennifer, and Aunt Amanda) are planning a much needed trip to the beach!!!!! Can't wait!!!!

Hair Bows and Toe Jam

Before Addie, when I was just a wife, I would obsess over keeping my house clean and clothes washed. However, now with Addie I have new obsessions. I still try to keep the other stuff done, but they do not top my list. I have really become OCD about Addie having a hair bow in her hair and keeping the toe jam out between her toes and fingers. HA!!

Addie has an abundant supply of hair bows, most of them have been given to her. She doesn't leave the house without one in her hair (unless her daddy gets her ready and is taking her somewhere without me). And if it happens to disappear while we're out, I will come close to loosing it before I find it. I just can't help it, they are so darn cute. I have heard many people say, "She just wouldn't be Addie if she didn't have a hair bow in her hair." I completely agree!!!

And this is my newest obsession. So GROSS!!! I clean her toes and fingers out multiple times a day. Bless her heart they are just so chunky that dirt gets trapped.

Are becoming independent. You think you are so big and that you should just be able to go on your on.
Wear size 2 or 3 diapers depending on the brand.
Can still wear some of your 3-6 months clothes, but slowly fitting into your 6-9 months.
You love carrots , yo baby yogurt, your paci, your silky, riding the 4 wheeler with P-Paw, riding in your stroller, being in your walker, sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed.
You hate going to sleep, loud noises, being put in your car seat, being left alone, not being able to go wherever you want.

Headed Home

We are on our way home, currently going down I65 about 20 miles from Montgomery. We had a great time, but ready to get home. Addie is exhausted, love her heart. She has been so good, both in the car and at the beach. I'm pretty sure that she is also ready to get home and back to her normal routine.

We are having so much fun, although I really miss Mark. Addie was so good yesterday. The ocean was very calm and she loved it.

She sat on the towel under the umbrella most of the time. She just played and watched everyone else.

Addie's First Visit to the Beach

We are in Destin, Fl. for a few days!!!! We got here around 2:00 this afternon. and since it was overcast, we just decided to take Addie down to the beach to see if she would like it. Here are the pictures that I took of her first expressions of the sand and ocean!

I can't believe it has been 7 months since I first held my sweet baby girl. Soo long yet sooo short ago. I never imagined how much she would change our lives. She is everything I ever imagined she would be and more. I am so glad I get the chance to be at home with her during the week.

At 7 months

Addie is still wearing her 3-6 months clothes and size 2 diapers.
She waved bye bye to me yesterday for the first time. (I almost cried!)
Addie loves anything we put in her mouth, she eats and eats and eats!!!!
Sleeps most of the night, and loves to nap in our bed during the day.
Is about to make her first trip to the beach. Can't wait!!!!

Yesterday we went swimming with Whitney. It was perfect weather, or so I thought. We all got a lot more sun than what we thought we were getting. Addie was SO good, she really loves the water. We swam for several hours, and then went home and she napped for 2 hrs.

The water was a little cold when we got there, so it took her a little bit to want to get in the water.

Dr. Check-Up

Addie went to the Dr, yesterday for her 6 month check-up. The Dr. said she is doing great and is right were she needs to be. She weighs 16.5 lbs and is 25.5 ins long. She had to get 3 shots and seems to be more ill with these shots than usual. We were up for most of the night, and she has been running a low grade temp today.

6 Months

Addie, my sweet baby girl, is months old today. I have dreamed of having a baby for many years, and I am so thankful. My cup runneth over. She is everything I ever dreamed she would be and more. She has stolen our hearts. Mark and I love to watch her learn and discover new things.

At 6 months

She is finally rolling over consistently.
Sits up very well.
Loves her cereal bottle, sucks it down in about a minute.
Loves carrots. I also let her try a wagon fruit wheel today, and she really liked it.
She is still wearing 3-6 months clothes.

We go to the Dr. next week for 6 month check-up. I am shopping for a new camera, and I think I have talked Mark into getting a really nice one. Hopefully I will have 1 soon, I reached for my old several times today.

Yesterday we went swimming at Granny and Papa's. This was Addie's first visit to the pool. She did very well, she liked the water even though it was a little cold. She really liked sitting on the steps and playing, but I think her favorite part was playing with Tinker. It really makes me miss our old dog. I really think Preston and Addie would have gotten along well.

Wedding Weekend

We are back at home from our busy weekend in Athens, TN. Addie and I went up Thursday with mom and dad. We spent the weekend at Nic's house, but we spent a lot of time going from one place to the next.

Nic and Amanda had a beautiful wedding, and are now on a cruise. I took a lot of pictures but haven't had a chance to load them yet. We are having several friends over to grill out to night, so I have been busy cleaning the house. Hopefully I will get them posted soon.

Mother's Day

I love being a mother, and I'm so thankful for my mom. She has taught me so much, and I hope to follow in her footsteps. She has been a great example of what a mom should be. (Thank you momma for all that you have taught and done for me. You mean the world to me. I love you very much!)

When I got home from work this morning Mark had me a card from Addie laying in her bed with her (he knows that's the first place I go when I walk in the door.) He fixed me some breakfast then we headed to my moms to take some pictures and then to church. They spent the afternoon with my mom and then went to visit his mom for supper, while I slept.

5 Months with Addie Grace

Wow, has it really been 5 months since I first held me sweet baby girl? Yes, it has and I can't believe how much she has grown and learned in such a short time.

At 5 months Addie...

Is such a good baby,she still fights sleep but not as bad as before.
Jabbers alot, to the TV and anyone who will listen.
Has moved up to size 2 diapers.
Fits perfectly in her 3-6 month clothes.
Hates baby food, but loves her bottle with cereal.
Sleeps all night( most of the time), in her on bed, in her room.

A Little Cold

Addie has had a head cold for about a week now, and it's about to drive me us crazy. I know she doesn't look very sick here, that's because she seems to feel fine during the day and sick at night.
Here is my big girl truly holding her bottle for the first time!!!

Addie and Layne wore matching outfits to church Sunday. I'm sure this will be the first of many. They looked so cute, if I do say so myself!!!!
