Fresh Air

This afternoon we bundled up for a walk and a little fresh air. Addie enjoys riding in her stroller and I really need the exercise.
We didn't get to walk for as long as I would have liked because it was a little cooler than I thought.

Just For Fun

This is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. BUT, in order for you to leave a comment on my blog, you have to post this on your blog first. (That means that sometime during this year you will send a gift to 3 people as well.) Get it? So, the first 3 people to comment on this post will be the lucky ones.

Weekend

We had a pretty good weekend. Addie spent the night with Granna and P-paw Fri night, and spent most of the day there Sat. She has been really fussy since her shots on Tuesday. Not sure if this is due to the rash (which is much better), or if she is just really spoiled!!!

This morning Mark woke up with a low grade temp and feeling sickly. Hopefully it's just sinuses and not contagious.

Rash

We have been fighting a diaper rash for several weeks. About 4 wks ago I called the Dr. and they said it sounded like a yeast rash, so we began putting Lotrimin (anti fungal foot cream)on it. It helped but never got rid of the rash. Tuesday when we went to the Dr. and I mentioned it again and was giving a mixture of meds to use. Yesterday the rash was extremely worse, poor Addie would scream every time I wiped her or she pooped. This morning I have been able to change her without the crying, but we are going back to the Dr. this afternoon. Please pray that God would give her some relief and that he would heal the rash completely.

Weekly Visit

Here is a pic of Addie in her Bumbo
And here is a few pics from our weekly photo session. Nana requested pics of Addie in something delicate.

Also, yesterday we went for our weekly visit to Howell. Addie was unusually fussy and only wanted her mommy. I think she was still ill from the shots the day before. Big Nana and Addie in their favorite chair.

Busy, Busy

Hope you all had a great weekend. Our weekends are a little hectic because of my work schedule. Friday night we went to a valentine banquet at church, then Addie spent the night with Granna and P-Paw. She spent most of the day there Sat. because Mark had a class and I needed to sleep.

Sunday after going to church, Mark and Addie went to Granny JU-JU's for a family lunch. Once again I stayed at home to sleep. Sunday night Addie spent the night with Granna since she didn't have to work Mon.

Monday Rikki and I went to Franklin to a great consignment store (Kid to Kid). Rikki bought a lot of great stuff for Luke. I didn't buy much because I just went a couple of weeks ago and had gotten a lot then, however I did get Addie a Bumbo seat for $20 (new they're $40). She likes sitting in it and watching TV ( picture to come).

Today we went to see Dr. Patz Addie weighed 12.5 lbs (72%) and was 23.5b ins (76%). He said she was very proportioned. She also had to get 3 shots and an oral vaccine. She didn't like any of them. On the way home we stopped to see Granny and Papa Bolden, but Addie was fussy so we didn't stay long. After a long fussy ride home, she is now feeling much better.

Weekly Visit

Once a week since Addie was 4wks old, we have made a weekly visit to see her great-grandparents (big nana and big papa). Nana usually cooks a wonderful lunch and then they spend the afternoon holding and tending to Addie. During this time I rest or take care of some other tasks. Today papa had the chance to rock Addie while nana and I finished fixing lunch and making cookies. I enjoy our weekly visit and know that one day Addie will have a special bond with them both.

We also went to Granna and P-Paw's for supper. Her great-grandfather Lil Papa also came there to eat. She was awake for most of the visit and P-paw really enjoyed talking to her and teaching her how big she was!!!

Firsts

I've always heard it's good luck for a baby to fall off the bed before they turn one. Thank God Addie didn't fall of the bed(it's about 4ft off the ground); however, she did fall of the chaise (about 1ft off the ground). She was sleeping on the chaise, Mark was in the recliner, and I was in the floor in front of her watching TV, then I heard a loud thud and screaming. I rushed over to her, scooped her up, and she cried for about 10 secs. As you can imagine, I was more upset than she was, and her dad simply said "huh, how did that happen, she wasn't even moving". She is fine, no knots or anything. But, she will have a new nap spot from now on.

Getting Started

I've created this blog to keep family and friends updated on our everyday experiences and special moments. Addie is almost 10 weeks old and we've already reached so many milestones. She is truly the joy I always imagined she would be. She is developing her on personality, and I see alot of her mom and dad in her. I hope ya'll enjoy this and hope that I'm good at keeping this updated. We have been doin weekly photo sessions and I play dress-up with her like she is a doll. Here are a view of our pics.
